A housing association are recruiting for a Supported Housing Manager to manage their supported housing service in the Preston area

The Role
The focus of this Supported Housing Manager role is to manage the provision of a supported housing service across Preston, ensuring excellent independent living support is being provided to service users.
This will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

Multidisciplinary Care Planning: Conduct regular reviews, assessments, and care plan formulations with a multidisciplinary approach to address the needs and choices of individuals receiving support.
Customer-Focused Service: Provide excellent customer service for Cedar tenants, ensuring well-managed care and support housing schemes, and maintaining the environment.
Proactive Tenancy Management: Collaborate with tenants and support agencies to address environmental, property, and tenancy issues to sustain tenancies and manage housing schemes effectively.
Community Engagement: Develop local knowledge and establish partnerships to meet the needs of tenants and the community, promoting resident participation and community development.
Professional Development and Standards: Maintain high professional standards, stay updated on care and supported housing best practices and legislation, and demonstrate commitment to the company's vision and values.
Support Worker Supervision: Train and supervise support workers, monitor their tasks, ensure adherence to care and welfare schemes, and verify care reports and trackers.
Housing Management: Provide effective housing management services, manage void properties, liaise with tenants on tenancy agreements, and handle repairs and replacements of furniture and appliances.
Issue Resolution: Respond to antisocial behavior, harassment, and other issues sensitively, assist with tenant transfers, verify tenancies, handle complaints, and ensure fire safety compliance.
Liaison and Partnership: Work with scheme managers, support workers, external agencies, and attend professional meetings to discuss individual cases and enhance tenant involvement.
Arrears Prevention and Financial Advice: Offer advice on rent payments, housing benefits, and debt counseling, assist with housing benefit claims, and work with income collection to resolve rent arrears issues.

The Candidate
To be considered for this Supported Housing Manager vacancy, you will require previous Support Work experience and be a strong communicator. The role will involve community based work, so a driver with access to a vehicle is essential. The role also requires an enhanced DBS.

The Contract
This is a permanent role, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30, and offering a salary of £26,000.
