Trust Housing has a fantastic opportunity for a Supported Housing Coordinator to join our team based at Lower Kessock Street, Inverness. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.

Trust Housing is a national housing, support and care provider, offering a range of accommodation and support services.  Primarily serving older people in our communities we also provide housing for families and individuals. We have over 3,600 households across the length and breadth of Scotland, from the Highlands and Islands all the way down to the Borders. 

What we’re looking for in our Supported Housing Coordinator:

As a Supported Housing Coordinator, you will play a key role in the lives of our tenants. Promoting and supporting independent living, you will develop a professional and caring relationship with individuals, providing advice and assistance linked to their individual support plan.  In addition, you will build positive working relationships with colleagues in other agencies such as health care and social work.

Located in Lower Kessock Street just half a mile from Inverness’ city centre in a great location and there’s a handy bus stop just around the corner. The supported housing service provides two meals per day, a main meal and a light meal, which is made in the kitchen and served in the communal dining room. Staff are available on site between 8am and 7.30pm.  Any personal care services needed are provided by another agency such as Social Services. The staff team consists of the Coordinator, part-time Supported Housing Workers, Cooks, Catering Assistants and Domestics.

Skills and experience we're looking for in our Supported Housing Coordinator:

The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience in managing a service for vulnerable people, preferably older people, be able to demonstrate a clear empathy with tenants as well as being able to exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  Management of the staff team is a key element of the role and experience in this area is essential.  On a personal level, candidates should be well organised and approachable with excellent interpersonal skills.  A professional qualification (SVQ level 3 or equivalent) is highly desirable.
