Position Overview:
As a Support Worker, you will play a pivotal role in providing guidance, support, and care to teenagers facing various challenges. You will work closely with a team of professionals to create a safe and supportive environment where teenagers can develop essential life skills, build positive relationships, and work towards achieving their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day support and guidance to teenagers living in the residential setting.
Foster a safe and supportive environment conducive to the emotional, physical, and psychological well-being of the teenagers.
Assist teenagers in developing essential life skills such as communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
Collaborate with other team members to create and implement individualized care plans for each teenager.
Monitor and document the progress and behavior of teenagers, providing feedback and reporting any concerns to the appropriate authorities.
Actively engage teenagers in recreational and therapeutic activities designed to promote personal growth and development.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with teenagers, families, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Previous experience working with teenagers in a residential setting or similar environment is preferred.
A compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of teenagers.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with teenagers from diverse backgrounds.
Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations and effectively manage conflict.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
A commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in all aspects of the job.
