Support Worker (PLD)
Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others?
We are currently seeking a PLD Support Workers assist with either Day or Night shift with our client in Sutton.
Requirements (Social Care):
Child/Adult DBS on Update Service.
UK Passport/Right to Work (skilled worker VISA's need not apply)
NVQ Level 2 (minimum)
2 years experience working with Adults with Profound Learning Disabilities
Responsibilities (Support Worker (PLD):
Assist residents with daily living, fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere to ensure high standards of care.
Encourage residents to exercise choice, self-help, mutual support, and independence.
Provide for residents' spiritual, recreational, social, and welfare needs, promoting stimulating activities.
Maintain contact with families and friends of residents.
Support residents in self-administering medication and ensure access to medical and other health services, liaising with practitioners as needed.
Assist residents in managing financial resources and monitor personal expenditure.
Implement and update Care Plans, keeping records of residents' progress.
Stay informed about relevant legislation, document incidents of challenging behavior, and organize regular meetings to address residents' needs.
Carry out delegated duties from the Manager/Senior Support Worker and participate in property cleaning.
Administer daily activities of the home, maintain security, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
Identify areas for improvement and develop community and service agency relationships.
Report maintenance needs, participate in minor maintenance tasks, and report accidents or incidents.
Administer petty cash, ensure proper accounting, and control expenditure within budget limits.
