Role:

The chosen candidate will be instrumental in providing crucial support to individuals and families experiencing domestic violence. The role involves working closely with service users to offer emotional support, practical assistance, and advocacy services. The aim is to empower those affected, promoting safety and independence, and facilitating their journey to recovery and resilience.

Skills & Experience:

- A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable individuals.

- Experience in a support role, preferably within a domestic violence or similar welfare service.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to listen and engage effectively.

- The capacity to handle sensitive situations with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

- An understanding of the issues faced by those affected by domestic violence.

- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications in social work, counselling, psychology, or a related field are highly regarded, though not mandatory. More important is a proven track record of supporting individuals in crisis and the resilience to manage the challenges of the role.
