Our client, The A.E.D.A. Alliance (Advocates of Empowerment, Development and Achievement) is an innovative company providing care sector-focused services. Their programmes aim to ensure the quality of life for children and young people in social care.
They are a network of professionals with a wealth of experience in the care social industry, this includes independent social work practitioners, care owners and managers, therapists, teachers and senior residential staff.
They are looking for a Support Worker around Kingston.
As the successful candidate, You should have:
* 2+ years of experience working in the Care Sector working with children and young people.
* Knowledge of the 5 Accomplishments.
* Knowledge and understanding of the needs of young people from different backgrounds, those with learning disabilities, mental health, and challenging needs.
* Awareness and understanding of the issues relating to sexuality, sexual abuse, CCE, CSE and child protection.
* Prevention & Management of Violence & Aggression Training.
* Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Training.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Self-Motivation.
You should be:
* Willing and adaptable.
* Imaginative.
* Able to establish a good relationship with people.
* A team player.
* Reliable and committed
* Prepared to work evenings and weekends.
* Current Enhanced DBS Certificate or on the DBS Update Service.
Qualifications Requirements
• Children and Young People N.V.Q., Level 3 or above
• Enhanced DBS Certificate
Monday - Sunday, Day & Night Shifts:
08:00 - 20:00 Days
20:00 - 08:00 Nights (Sleeping & Waking)
Rate: £12 per hour, depending on current qualifications and experience
