Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf (RCT)
Salary: Minimum £85.04/day
Contract Type: Full-time Monday - Friday
Start Date: September 2024 but looking for people to trial asap

anzuk education is currently working with a dedicated an inclusive school in Rhondda Cynon Taf, committed to providing high-quality education for students, especially those who require a tailored educational approach.

Job Description: 

The school is seeking an experienced Support Worker to support children with additional needs (ALN). As a support worker you will work closely with students who need additional support due to various challenges, including behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties. This role involves working within our alternative provision setting to create a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students.
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
Support students in managing their behaviour and emotions, promoting positive interactions.
Facilitate and encourage engagement in educational activities and programs.
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and incidents.
Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities. Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with additional needs.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students’ growth and development.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures. Desirable:

Experience in an alternative provision or similar educational setting.
Training in behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.
Knowledge of special educational needs (SEN) and inclusive practices. What We Offer:
