Description:

A specialist case management and rehabilitation company are looking for a Support Worker to assist with personal care, social and leisure activities and rehabilitation activities for one of its clients based in Carlise. This particular Support Worker opportunity will be assisting a 15 year old young man who has an acquired brain injury. Things he enjoys and is looking for assistance with are:

Getting out and about and completing therapies.
Personal care and all aspects of daily living.
He loves to go for drives and out on trips - he uses a wheelchair to get around and has his own wheelchair accessible van.
He enjoys being outdoors for walks - whatever the weather!
Swimming.
Likes all things sensory, books being read to him and being part of the chat.
We are keen to speak to people about this Support Worker opportunity who have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience of working in the health sector.  
Trained to NVQ / Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g. completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course).
Driving licence and car owner is essential.
Creative and a lover of the outdoors.

You should have a great sense of humour, are kind, honest and happy to support me in getting out and about and completing my therapies. 

There are full and part time positions available with mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekend shifts, annual leave/sickness cover available. 

In return you will receive a pay rate of £13.00 per hour, full supervision including regular formal meeting opportunities, additional holidays accruing with service, company pension, health cover and employee rewards. Training & Development - Acquired Brain Injury / Medication / Mental Capacity & Safeguarding / Moving and Handling / Postural Management / First Aid.
