Support Worker

Description:

We are a dedicated and compassionate team working to make a positive impact in the lives of children within our care. Our children's home provides a safe and nurturing environment for young individuals facing challenging circumstances. We are seeking a committed Support Worker to join our team and help us continue providing exceptional care and support.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Provide high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting.

* Work within a shift-based rota, including early mornings, late evenings, and overnight sleep shifts.

* Support children in developing independent living skills, educational pursuits, and recreational activities.

* Manage and respond to challenging behaviours with patience and professionalism.

* Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with organisational policies.

* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

* Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all residents.

Requirements:

* Direct experience working in a children's home.

* Proven ability to manage and respond to challenging behaviours.

* Must be able to work every other weekend.

* Full driving license and ability to drive as part of the role.

* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (desired but not essential).
