About the Home
We are recruiting for a Senior Residential Support Worker to join a well-established 3-bed EBD/LD children's home.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a consistent team focused on achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.
Shift Pattern
Rolling 2-on 4-off rota
* Day 1: 9:30am – 11:00pm
* Day 2: 7:00am – 11:00pm
* Day 3: 7:00am – 10:00am (handover before beginning four rest days)
* Sleep-in payment: £60 per sleep
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality, child-centred care and support.
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
* Build trusting relationships with young people and act as a positive role model.
* Support education, independence, life skills, and recreational activities.
* Complete accurate daily records, care plans, and incident reports.
* Administer medication where appropriate.
* Safeguard children and ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
* Support and mentor Residential Support Workers within the team.
* Participate in team meetings, training, and supervisions.
Requirements
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
* Previous experience working within a residential children's home.
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and Children's Homes Regulations.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* A caring, resilient, and positive approach to supporting young people.
* Full UK driving licence is desirable.
