The client is non-verbal and communicates through facial expressions and other non-verbal cues. The successful candidate must be patient, observant and attentive to her individual needs, ensuring she receives safe, dignified and person-centred care at all times.

This is initially a temporary position, with the opportunity to become permanent depending on your performance, reliability and suitability for the role.

Working independently for parts of the shift while following care plans and escalation procedures.

*

Working alongside another support worker for personal care tasks, which must be carried out in pairs.

*

Undertaking light household duties, including hoovering, mopping, ironing and maintaining a clean and safe home.

*

Communicating effectively with the wider care team and reporting any changes in the client's condition.

*

Promoting the client's comfort, wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.

Essential Requirements

Previous hands-on PEG feeding experience – essential.

*

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

*

A caring, patient, reliable and professional approach.

Updated online training will be provided. However, previous practical PEG feeding experience is essential. Appropriate training and competency assessment must be completed before undertaking relevant clinical tasks.

Experience with NG feeding is also relevant. The client's specific feeding arrangements and care plan must be followed at all times.
