Description:
Support Worker required for full time, 3 month FTC (likely to be extended) to cover two sites – Exeter and Torquay. The successful candidate will provide a holistic and positive approach to solution focussed support.
£27,815 per annum (£14.46 hourly pay rate)
37 hours per week - 7 day rota, bandwith hours 8am to 9pm

About the role.
Working with veterans who have been homeless or facing homelessness who have moderate to high support needs.
Your workload will be around 5 to 8 customers at any one time
Helping people to achieve their goals and aspirations, and move forward with the skills to be independent in managing on their own.
Working closely with other agencies around specific needs including mental health, substance misuse, benefits, private letting agents and landlords and/or others and exploring options around education, training and employment.
Write, review and update support plans and risk assessments and take a positive approach towards risk management.
The right candidate
Previous experience of working with vulnerable individuals whether on their own or in group situations.
Happy to undertake an enhanced check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
Confident working with and supporting clients across a range of difficult and challenging issues/behaviours
Experience of maintaining records and putting into place action plans.
Willingness to work flexibly; with different clients/colleagues and outside normal office hours to meet the needs of the clients.
