We require Residential Support Workers and Senior Support Workers for our 3 bed Children’s home Hoddesdon Hertfordshire EN11

Residential Support Worker salary

£26K – £29K inclusive of up to 8 sleeps per month (Additional Sleep shifts are paid at £50 per night) (pro-rata for part time)

Shifts over Mon – Sun, including BH

Waking Night Residential Support Worker Salary

£26K – £29K

Senior Support Worker Salary

£30K – £33K ( inclusive of up to 8 sleeps per month)

Shifts over Mon – Sun, including BH

40 hours per week but part time available for Residential Childcare Worker role

Purpose of Residential Support Worker
The Residential Support Worker is responsible for ensuring that the physical,
intellectual, emotional, psychological, and social needs of our children are met consistently
to a high standard. Under the direction of the management team the Residential Support Worker will deliver therapeutic caregiving.
The Residential Support Worker will work on a shift pattern including days, evenings, weekends, bank holidays,
sleeping-in duties and subject to risk assessment – lone working

Purpose Senior Support Worker

You will be responsible for ensuring that the physical, intellectual, emotional, psychological and social needs

of our children are met consistently to a high standard.

Engage in probation, induction, supervision, staff meetings, learning and development

and appraisal.Model professional conduct in all aspects of the role.

Work in partnership with social workers, education, police, health, probation, and all

other professionals in line with children’s needs and interests.

The Senior Support Worker will work on a shift pattern including days, evenings, waking nights (when/if required),

weekends, bank holidays, sleeping-in duties and, subject to risk assessment, lone working

Residential Support Worker & Senior Support Worker Skills and Qualifications

* Must be willing and able to achieve or hold the NVQ Level 4 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent

* Knowledge and skills Senior Support Worker must hold minimum level 3 Qualification

* Worked in a Childcare setting (2 years minimum for Senior Support worker)

* Full Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and 9 standards.

* Working within Child Protection procedures & Safeguarding children procedures

* Understand impact of trauma on child development

* Direct work skills. Including handling conflict effectively

* Managing stress in self and others

* Good written and verbal communication and IT literacy

* Committed to achieving best outcomes for children

* Adaptive and solution focussed

* Parenting in a diverse community

* Able and willing to provide cover at other homes within reasonable distance as the needs of the children and the service requires

* Able to work required shift pattern –including sleeping-in
