We are looking for compassionate and reliable Support Workers to provide day and night support for a gentleman in his 70s with an acquired brain injury, living in his own home in Shrewsbury. This is a lone-working role, so we're looking for someone who is confident, positive, and able to work independently while delivering person-centred support.
About the Role:

• Supporting with day-to-day living activities and promoting independence.
• Encouraging participation in community activities and social opportunities.
• Supporting relationships with family and friends.
• Assisting with managing finances where required.
• Helping to keep the home clean, tidy, and well maintained.
• Supporting with shopping and meal preparation.
• Providing and encouraging personal care.
• Making every day enjoyable and meaningful.
Shift Pattern Requirements:
Candidates must be fully flexible across the entire week, including:

• Late shifts: 3:00pm – 10:00pm
• Sleep-in shifts: 10:00pm – 8:00am
Sleep-in shifts must be completed alongside either an early or late shift.
What we're looking for:
• A Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle is preferred. Non-drivers may still be considered; however, applicants must live within a reasonable travelling distance of the service.
• Flexible approach to working shifts across weekdays and weekends
• Positive, caring and reliable attitude
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
• Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential
What our client can offer:
• High-quality training and ongoing career development opportunities
• Paid enhanced DBS check
• Flexible working opportunities
• Employee discounts including Blue Light Card benefits
• Paid annual leave (pro rata)
• Contributory pension scheme with life assurance
• Free and confidential 24/7 wellbeing and counselling support services
• Employee referral scheme with bonuses of up to £500
If you're passionate about supporting others and want to build a meaningful career where every day is different, we'd love to hear from you.
