Our client, ACS (Associated Care Services) is a company providing accommodation and support packages to young people aged 16-24 who have experienced upheavals and difficulties at some point in their lives. Their programme's aim is to share their culture of care, respect, and independence with everyone who uses their service and celebrate diversity, fostering an inclusive approach in everything they do.

They are currently looking for a Support Worker around Peterborough

As the successful candidate, you will:

* Provided compassionate and comprehensive support to young people aged 16-24 who have experienced upheavals and difficulties in their lives.

* Work within the framework for implementing individualised care plans, offering emotional support, and fostering the personal development of service users.

* Overarch's goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment that empowers young individuals to overcome challenges, develop essential life skills, and ultimately transition into independent and fulfilling lives.

As the successful candidate, you should have:

* Communication:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Effective interpersonal skills

* Networking:

• Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

• Comfortable engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

* Organisational Skills:

• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.

• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Microsoft Office 365 Literate – Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams etc

* Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young people in challenging circumstances or similar capacities.

* Strong understanding of the challenges faced by Looked after Children, Care Leavers, and Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children.

* Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in the field of young people and social support services.

* A relevant degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.

* N.V.Q., Level 4 or above in social care.

* Training in trauma-informed care.

Monday - Sunday, Day & Night Shifts:

£12 per hour from 8 am to 11 pm,

£60 sleeping flat rate from 11 pm to 8 am

Minimum 12 hours up to 40 plus hours per week
