Aspire in the Community are looking for a caring and enthusiastic individual to join our team supporting service users with Learning disabilities. Mental Health needs, and some behaviours of concern to fulfil their potential.
At Aspire in the Community we are passionate about providing person centred care to each and every person who uses our services, and to enable people to live as independently as possible. We are a small and forward-thinking company with the service user at the heart of everything we do.
As a support worker you will need to be committed, proactive and empathetic.
This Support Worker role involves:
* Promoting dignity and creating opportunities for service users.
* Following support plans
* Communicate effectively to support individuals to maintain a meaningful lifestyle.
* To safeguard service users from harm.
* Ensure that medication is administered, ordered, checked and safely stored.
* To ensure any changes in need are reported and documented within the service users care plan.
Support Workers will need to have a good standard of English and Mathematics and a degree of self-awareness. You will need to be flexible to meet the needs of the business which will require working weekends and have some awareness and experience in working with people who have challenging behaviour.
As a Support Worker you don't need to have any experience or qualifications, we have a full induction programme and an unrivalled commitment to training and development but you do need to have a real interest in people, a willingness to learn, and empathy for others. You will however need to share the same values as us.
This role is for 30 hours per week.
