Support Worker
Support Worker for Primary Alternative School in Rawtenstall
Rawtenstall , Lancashire
Term Time Only with the view to go on contract permanent.
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Support Worker to work within a Primary Alternative School in Rawtenstall . The ideal candidate will have experience working with children from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) up to Key Stage 2 and be able to deescalate challenging behaviour in a calm and effective manner.
Responsibilities:
Providing support to children with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs
Assisting in the development and implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)
Supporting the class teacher in managing the classroom and ensuring the safety and well-being of all children
Promoting positive behaviour and providing guidance to children when necessary
Collaborating with other professionals such as psychologists, social workers, and healthcare providers to ensure that the needs of the children are being met.Requirements:
Previous experience working with children from EYFS up to Key Stage 2
Experience in deescalating challenging behaviour and working with children with SEMH needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A patient and caring attitude towards children
