Description:

Our client's service is a specialist, community-based care home providing nursing support to individuals of all gender identities who are autistic, have a learning disability, and/or have additional complex physical or mental health needs.

We are urgently seeking dedicated Agency Support Workers to provide consistent long day and night cover. This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a supportive, structured service where your skills truly make a difference.

Day: 07:45 – 20:05
Night: 19:45 – 08:05???? Pay: £14.24–£15.00 per hour PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)

???? About the Support Worker Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with their daily living activities while promoting independence, dignity, and overall well-being. You will work closely with residents, colleagues, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in line with individual care plans.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a caring and compassionate approach, have strong communication skills, and be able to work confidently both independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team. You will be flexible, reliable, and committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for those in your care.

Support individuals with their daily routines
Promote independence and empower service users
Provide emotional support and companionship
Assist with personal care activities
Maintain accurate records and documentation
Follow care plans, safeguarding, and health & safety guidelines
Work flexibly across long day and night shifts as required
???? Key Skills & Requirements
Minimum 6-12 months UK experience in a Support Worker role 
Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
Ability to follow instructions and individual care plans
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility to work a range of shifts
Based in, or willing to work in, Workington, Cumbria
