Join the team at Ballington House in Leek as a Support Services Assistant and become a valued member of the service.

Working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, you will be responsible for ensuring the services facilities are fit for purpose.

You will be working as part of the support team to help ensure that the highest standard of maintenance and cleanliness is achieved throughout the hospital.

Being a team player and attention to detail is essential to this role. No experience is required, all we ask is that you are willing to learn and have a Can-Do attitude. You will be provided with full training on the cleaning routine within the hospital and how to work safely, which products to use and how to work specialist equipment.

As a Support Services Assistant, your Responsibilities will include:

Support Housekeeping

Providing and maintaining a good level of cleanliness.

Completing all housekeeping documents. 

Reporting any equipment malfunctions.

Use the appropriate cleaning equipment. 

Keep the Laundry tidy

Promote and follow the Government and company measure.

Assist the Maintenance Department

Support/liaise with contractors.

General maintenance support

Maintaining the grounds and car park

Assist with scheduled maintenance tasks

Support with painting and decorating

Support with ensuring rooms are maintained to a high standard

Where you will be working:

Location: Ballington Gardens, Leek, Staffordshire ST13 5LW

You will be working at Ballington House, a 10 bedded mental health rehabilitation hospital that provides services for women with complex mental health needs.

The environment at Ballington House is a unique aspect of the service with care provided in one of six apartments which offer single and two person accommodation.

You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team to support women who often have complex mental health and co-morbid conditions.

Annual salary of £23,692.50 pro-rata for part time
