Job Title: Care Assistant (Adult and Children's services)
Location: West Sussex County
Shifts: Monday to Sunday (Early Shift, Day Shift, Late Shift, Long Day, Waking Nights, Sleep-Ins)
Salary: £13.68 per hour
We are recruiting for Care Assistants to support physically and/or mentally challenged children and adult service users in their everyday lives, enabling their independence. The support required takes into account the varying needs of people including those recovering from an operation or illness, with mild to severe learning disabilities, mental health difficulties, sensory impairments, dysphagia, epilepsy, and the beginnings of age-related conditions, particularly dementia.

Experience in housekeeping tasks and caring for the elderly or sick will make you a strong candidate.
Your Responsibilities:
Follow care plans, routines, guidelines, risk assessments, and Behaviour Management Plans
Assist with personal hygiene, including bathing and dressing
Administer medication as required (training provided)
Support mobility: moving and handling, hoisting
Assist with physical therapy exercises
Prepare appropriate meals and assist with feeding where required
Provide social interaction and emotional support
Carry out household chores: tidying, cleaning, washing, ironing, and shopping
Complete paperwork: handover notes and reporting unusual events to supervisors or physicians
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies
Requirements & Skills:
Proven experience as a Care Assistant or similar role
Committed to health and safety
Ability to cook
Well-organised and reliable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Positive and compassionate attitude
Strong ethics and physical staminaAccess to transport is essential to travel between sites
