Job Title: Supply Teacher for Primary Schools
Location: Bournemouth and Christchurch
Salary: Dependent on Experience (£120- £150 per day)
Start Date: September 2024

GSL Education are currently supporting numerous local primary schools across Bournemouth and the surrounding areas with their day-to-day supply staffing. This would be a great way to get your foot in the door ahead of September positions that will come up in the summer term. Exploring a variety of schools enables you to gain additional experience in a range of year groups and schools, which will enhance your experience, ability and help you to discover your preferences. Through this role, you are likely to discover permanent teaching positions if that is something that you would desire long-term.

As a primary school supply teacher, you will play an important role in providing continued support for pupils in the absence of their class teacher. This role is crucial to ensure that the class continues to receive high-quality teaching and learning. Perhaps you are seeking more flexibility so that you can manage a better work-life balance? While the school primarily caters to mainstream education, you may be called upon to cover for necessary classrooms and provide support to students with Special Education Needs. Alongside a dedicated team, you will be able to support these pupils within the classroom. Therefore, any prior experience or knowledge of SEN is highly desirable.

Hold a PGCE /QTS
Be confident in your behaviour management skills and be able to adapt to different school’s behaviour policies
Be prepared to cover a range of subjects and year groups

Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
