The Role

As a Cover Supervisor or Supply Teacher, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences.

Responsibilities may include:

Delivering pre-planned lessons across a variety of subject areas.
Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain engaged in learning.
Creating a positive and productive learning environment.
Supporting students in completing set work and achieving lesson objectives.
Following school policies and procedures.
Providing feedback to teaching and pastoral staff on lesson outcomes.
Upholding high standards of safeguarding, behaviour and professionalism.
Qualified teachers may also have opportunities to plan and deliver lessons in their specialist subject areas.

We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have experience working as a Cover Supervisor, Tutor, Learning Support Assistant or within an educational setting.
Be confident managing groups of secondary-aged students.
Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
Demonstrate strong classroom management abilities.
Be adaptable, resilient and professional.
Have a genuine passion for supporting young people and education.
