Are you an experienced Supply Chain or Demand Planner looking for an opportunity to take ownership of forecasting, stock optimisation and supply chain performance?

We are recruiting for a Supply & Demand Planner to join an established and growing business, playing a key role in ensuring product availability, improving forecasting accuracy and managing stock levels across a varied product portfolio.

This is a varied planning role where you will work closely with internal departments, external logistics partners and senior stakeholders to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time, while minimising excess stock, waste and operational risk.

The Role

Develop and maintain short, medium and long-term demand forecasts.

Analyse historical sales, customer trends, seasonality and promotional activity to improve forecasting accuracy.

Translate demand forecasts into purchasing requirements and production plans.

Work closely with internal commercial, marketing and buying teams to understand future demand.

Coordinate production planning and stock requirements with external third-party logistics (3PL) providers.

Monitor stock levels, movements, availability and inventory accuracy.

Identify and implement opportunities to reduce excess, obsolete and short-dated stock.

Produce regular stock reports, forecasts and performance analysis.

Monitor stock expiry dates, stock valuation and storage costs.

Support the development of improved planning processes, reporting tools and automation.

Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

About You

Previous experience in Supply Chain Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Planning or Inventory Planning.

Experience producing forecasts and managing stock requirements.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.

Experience working with external warehouse or 3PL providers would be advantageous.

Confident using Excel and stock management or ERP systems.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

A proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and improving processes.

Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for a planner who enjoys working across different areas of the supply chain and wants to take ownership of forecasting, stock management and continuous improvement.

You will have the opportunity to influence planning processes, work closely with senior stakeholders and make a tangible contribution to operational performance
