Supply & Purchasing Manager - Birmingham (Hybrid Working) - 6 Months - Inside IR35
Our client a global telecommunications organisation are looking for an experienced Supply & Purchasing Manager to join the team on an initial 6-month contract.
This role will play a key part in managing supply planning, purchasing activities and supplier engagement, ensuring products and services are delivered efficiently while balancing customer demand, inventory levels and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage supply planning and purchasing activities across the supply chain
Support demand forecasting and inventory optimisation
Work closely with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply
Monitor supply chain performance and identify improvement opportunities
Drive purchasing governance and best practice processes
Mitigate supply risks and resolve sourcing challenges
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, commercial and procurement teams
Produce reporting and insights to support decision-making
Experience Required
Strong background in supply chain, purchasing or procurement management
Experience within complex operational environments
Knowledge of supply planning, forecasting and inventory management
Proven supplier management and stakeholder engagement skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Experience driving process improvements and operational efficienciesDesirable
Telecommunications experience
Experience working within large, complex organisations
Exposure to supply chain transformation programmes
