Red Rock Partnership Limited are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Retford who are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join their busy team.

About The Role:

As a Supply Chain Manager,you’ll be responsibleto enhance the sales office operation and relationships with growing suppliers and customer base. You will be responsible for managing our supply chain whilst seeking to deliver the highest levels of customer service. Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt as part of our growing business are vital.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Develop and maintain constructive working relationships with our logistics partners.

· Manage and monitor the company’s logistics partners to fulfil service agreements, recording performance and deliver on continuous improvement.

· Investigate, identify and propose cost saving opportunities within the supply chain and shape operational plans for implementation. This requires due diligence, stakeholder engagement and deployment of accurate data.

· Negotiate transport rates from logistics service providers to ensure a balance of value for money and excellent performance. Involvement in setting our departmental budget.

· Advise the business on import and export administrative and legislative requirements. Develop and maintain a database of domestic and international freight rates.

· Carry out visits to suppliers, logistics service providers and freight forwarders where necessary.

· Monitor logistics costs including fuel costs, freight costs and currency exchange rates.

· Liaise with our supply chain management EU team at to ensure consistency, and alignment.

· Plan production schedules, coordinate raw material purchasing including call off to match operational requirements and review supplier procurement contracts.

About you:

* Previous experience within the same/ similar position.

* Strong communication skills are required to ensure stakeholder engagement at all levels.

* Good level of numeracy and proficient using Microsoft Excel.

* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Confident to work autonomously.

* Experience in budget management and cost saving.

* Analytical skills are essential in order to make use of a wide range of data.

* Supply Chain and Logistics industry experience.

This position is working Monday – Friday.
