Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Supply Chain Manager to work on exciting projects within the business. Key areas of initial focus will be Supplier Re-Negotiation and Inventory Management.
You may currently be an experienced Supply Chain Manager looking for their next challenge, in a rewarding and welcoming environment, or you may be in a similar senior position within supply chain/logistics/buying ready for a step up to a new challenge.
As a member of the Operations team, your role involves managing and coordinating activities that support the operations. You will be a pivotal part of the team, working collaboratively in a customer-centric and business-savvy capacity, efficiently managing the supplier chain and maintaining inventory levels, whilst employing a logical and methodical problem solving approach and a continual improvement approach.
Supply Chain Manager Responsibilities:
* Support the Operations Manager by coordinating/managing the Supply Chain And Purchasing activities.
* Monitor and Manage the Inventory levels in the Business. Manage the levels to maximise stockturns and increase cashflow
* Negotiate Contracts, looking for long term agreements and securing supply of long lead time items.
* Produce KPI’s to demonstrate PPV performance, OTD and lead times.
* Lead the procurement team.
Supply Chain Manager Requirements:
* Experience of Working in a Manufacturing/Engineering Environment
* CIPS Qualified (Desirable not essential)
* Experience Managing Inventory levels and measuring Stockturns
* Commercial Awareness and the ability to negotiate contracts.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* An ability to challenge the norm
* An ability to promote a culture of continuous improvement
