SUPPLY CHAIN PLANNING MANAGER

Job Title: Supply Chain Planning Manager

Location: Manchester

Salary: £40,(Apply online only)-£70,(Apply online only) depending on experience and industry relevance

Shift: Monday to Friday - Days, Hybrid Working

Job Role of the Supply Chain Planning Manager:

A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Supply Chain Planning Manager to join a global process manufacturing business based in Manchester. The role holds responsibility for material planning across two European production facilities, supporting a complex batch-manufacturing operation and international customer base.

The Supply Chain Planning Manager will lead an established team of planners, translating forecast data into workable production, capacity and inventory plans. They will balance customer service requirements against production constraints and net working capital targets while identifying future capacity issues and opportunities to improve planning processes.

The successful candidate will also support the implementation of a new SAP planning module, ultimately becoming the European lead for the system.

Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Supply Chain Planning Manager

Material, supply or production-planning experience
Experience within a complex manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of SAP or a comparable ERP system
Leadership experience within planning or supply chain
Able to attend the Manchester site as part of a hybrid working arrangement
Essential Requirements for the Supply Chain Planning Manager:

Experience turning forecast data into practical production and inventory plans
Ability to balance customer service, stock availability and working capital
Experience identifying capacity constraints and supply-chain bottlenecks
Strong data-analysis skills using Excel, Power BI or similar tools
Confident working across production, engineering, procurement and commercial teams
Comfortable managing an experienced and independently working team
Desirable Requirements for the Supply Chain Planning Manager

SAP S/4HANA, APO, IBP, MRP or ATP experience
Experience within chemical, pharmaceutical, food or another process-manufacturing / GMP environment
Lean Six Sigma or continuous-improvement experience
Experience improving or automating planning processes
