As a Supply Chain Assistant, you will play a pivotal part in this growth and join an experienced team.
Job Description:
Working with key suppliers, the Supply Chain Assistant will be involved with:
Place orders with suppliers using the Accord ordering system
Communicate with suppliers to ensure efficient logistical strategy (pallet and layer configurations)
Ongoing amendments of forecasts to include promotional activity.
Chase orders to ensure full availability to customers and to maintain warehouse stock holding
Control the booking of orders with haulers
Facilitate positive liaisons with suppliers and internal departments to maintain the range
Prepare and share Excel reports to customers with up-to-date information regarding discontinued lines and out-of-stock
Maintain ongoing communication with Telesales and Order Processing to try to maximise stock efficiency for ad hoc orders to be placed
Produce ongoing base and promotion forecasts and share them with suppliers
Ensure prompt and full availability on any new lines/promotions
Obtain quotes from freight forwarders & arrange collection of goods It would be good to see candidates with:
A strong skillset in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Excellent interpersonal and client-relation skills
An enthusiastic, confident, personable, and engaging attitude/telephone manner
Self-motivation, reliability, drive, and a strong work ethic
Ability to demonstrate strong organisational skills
Passionate about delivering outstanding service
