Supplier Quality Manager

A growing manufacturer with a very exciting product range and large order book is looking for a Supplier Quality Manager east of Leeds. This is a great chance for a Supplier Quality Manager to develop key suppliers and coach and mentor a dedicated Supplier Quality Team.

Responsibilities as a Supplier Quality Manager:

* Lead and coach a Supplier Quality team

* Develop and implement supplier quality management processes and procedures.

* Establish supplier quality performance metrics and ensure adherence to standards.

* Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate capability and compliance.

* Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to qualify new suppliers.

* Lead resolution of supplier quality issues through effective root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

* Monitor supplier performance and drive improvement initiatives to meet quality targets.

* Provide guidance and support to suppliers in implementing quality improvement initiatives.

* Foster strong partnerships with suppliers to drive mutual understanding and collaboration.

* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

* Communicate supplier quality performance metrics to relevant stakeholders.

* Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality processes and systems.

* Coach and mentor team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

Essential Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.

* Proven experience in supplier quality management roles.

* Strong understanding of quality management principles and practices.

* Experience in conducting supplier audits and assessments.

* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.

* Strong organizational and project management skills.

* Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.

* Ability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

* Leadership and team management skills.
