Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor / Responsive Repairs Supervisor (Social Housing)

Location: Finsbury Park (Covering North & Central London patch)

Pay Rate: £27.00 per hour (Temp to Perm)

Contract Type: Temp to Perm (Initial agency trial period transitioning onto permanent staff)

Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (Standard Business Hours)

We are urgently recruiting a Field Supervisor / Maintenance Inspector to join a leading social housing contractor. Operating out of a central base in Finsbury Park, you will take operational ownership of a fast-paced responsive repairs contract across North and Central London.

Paying £27.00 per hour, this role offers top-tier contract pay alongside a company van and fuel card provided from Day One.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and supervise direct multi-trade operatives and sub-contractors delivering day-to-day responsive maintenance.

Field Inspections & Quality Control: Conduct thorough pre- and post-inspections of active and completed jobs to ensure high workmanship standards, safety, and client specifications.

KPI & Service Delivery: Work closely with the planning and scheduling desk to drive first-time fix rates, eliminate turnaround delays, and hit contract performance targets.

Resident & Client Liaison: Act as an on-site point of contact for local authority/housing association clients, handling localized tenant escalations professionally.

Health & Safety Enforcer: Enforce RAMS, run regular toolbox talks, and ensure full site safety compliance across mobile workstreams.

Requirements:

Sector Background: Proven track record as a Repairs Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor, Works Supervisor, or Trades Foreman within social housing or local authority frameworks.

Technical Expertise: Strong trade background with comprehensive diagnostic fault-finding skills across all domestic maintenance disciplines.

Certifications: CSCS Card required; SSSTS, SMSTS, IOSH, or Asbestos Awareness are highly desirable.

IT Capability: Comfortable using handheld PDA technology, job scheduling software, and MS Office.

Full UK Driving Licence: Essential for operating the company fleet vehicle.
