Subsea System Integration Senior Engineer

Location: Basingstoke, UK (with potential travel to project sites as required)

Contract inside IR35

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subsea System Integration Senior Engineer to join our project engineering group based in Basingstoke, UK. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting worldwide offshore deepwater projects, contributing to the development, optimization, and integration of subsea systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Development Concept Study and Optimization:

Conduct detailed studies and optimization processes for subsea, deepwater, and ultra-deepwater projects, with a focus on production fluid deliverability and system operation.
Propose innovative solutions to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Subsea Development Scheme Definition:

Define subsea development schemes at both system and component levels, considering project objectives and technical requirements.

Design Review and Approval:

Review and approve designs conducted by third-party contractors, ensuring compliance with project objectives, industry standards, and best practices.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of third-party contractors to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.

Research and Development Support:

Assist in research and development initiatives related to subsea field development and the implementation of new technologies.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Documentation Preparation:

Prepare comprehensive documentation to support tender phases for Subsea Production Systems (SPS), umbilical, and Riser & Flowline (R&F) work packages.

Interface Management:

Define and manage interfaces between different subsea working packages to ensure seamless integration and coordination.

Project Design Review:

Participate in subsea project design reviews to ensure consistency, quality, and cost-effectiveness in compliance with international standards and company guidelines.

Technical Solution Selection:

Select the most suitable technical and economical solutions for subsea system architecture, ensuring overall technical integrity and performance.

Client Interaction and Problem Solving:

Understand client needs, identify challenges, and propose and implement effective solutions to address technical and operational issues.
Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably related to subsea engineering, petroleum engineering, or a related field).
Demonstrated experience in the Oil & Gas Industry with a focus on subsea system and network engineering.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for documentation and analysis.
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD for technical drawings.
Extensive experience as a Subsea System Integration Engineer throughout project development phases.
Strong technical expertise in subsea architecture development, optimization, and integration.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
