Location: Bristol

Pay Range/details: Up to £57,000 per annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Omega is now supporting this world-leading weapons systems designer, developer, and manufacturer, searching for a Sub-System Design Engineer to join them in this exciting period of growth and transformation, with innovation at the heart of their operations. Key Responsibilities – Sub-System Design Engineer

Liaise with various technical, design, safety, and customer support partners, as well as supporting and agreeing changes in the sub-system interface specifications.
Provide information and tools that are needed to perform missions to the Command Control Product Team.
Provide support to integration and testing teams in capturing test requirements and plans.
Liaise with systems teams, to ensure design proposals are considering existing design constraints.
Supporting safety, security, and reliability aspects of projects.

Qualifications & Requirements – Sub-System Design Engineer

Applicable experience in systems engineering, product development, software development or a similar discipline.
Authoring sub-system software and hardware requirements specifications.
Developing and proposing changes to sub-system software design.
Authoring sub-system design documentation.
Developing test specifications and verification plans for sub-system requirements.
Managing traceability of requirements, test definitions and certification evidence.
Verification and certification of the sub-system.
