Description:
Abatec is looking to appoint an experienced Sub Agent on a freelance contract to join a leading Tier 1 contractor currently working at Hinkley Point C, a multi-billion-pound major project in the southwest.
The successful candidate will have several years of experience in the civil engineering industry, capable of self-delivery, and substantial experience in reinforced concrete / structures (RC) works.
As Sub Agent you will:
* Have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in delivery of civil engineering schemes consisting of structures and infrastructure.
* Check drawings and quantities, ensuring the accuracy of calculations.
* Assist in the management of Site Engineers
* Comply with the site-specific health and safety protocols to ensure any health and safety concerns are identified and reported as necessary.
Our client requires a Sub Agent with:
* Understanding of survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical, and digital levels).
* Valid CSCS / SMSTS
* A good understating of construction health & safety protocols.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Experience in Groundworks, Earthworks, and RC structures works.
* Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable.
* Due to the nature of the scheme the successful candidate will be required to undergo SC clearance.
Salary/Benefits:
* £400 - £450 PAYE
