Sub Agent

Description:

Carmichael UK are recruiting for an experienced Sub Agent to join the delivery team on a major highways infrastructure scheme in Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile project involving roadworks, structures and utilities, working alongside a respected delivery team on a complex programme of civil engineering works.

As Sub Agent, you will support the Project Manager in the safe, efficient and profitable delivery of works, taking ownership of programme, quality, commercial awareness and site operations. You will be responsible for coordinating site teams and subcontractors, ensuring works are delivered in line with specifications, standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing the day-to-day delivery of highways and civil engineering works

• Coordinating site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors

• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards

• Monitoring progress against programme and identifying opportunities to improve delivery

• Supporting commercial activities including change management and cost control

• Reviewing RAMS, permits, ITPs and construction documentation

• Liaising with clients, stakeholders and the wider project team

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a Sub Agent on major highways, infrastructure or civil engineering projects

• Tier 1 contractor or major project experience is essential

• Strong knowledge of roadworks, structures and utility diversions/installations

• Experience managing engineering teams and subcontractors on site

• Excellent understanding of NEC contracts and project delivery processes

• HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

• SMSTS and CSCS required
