Project Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a major delivery contractor managing a multi-million-pound capital upgrade at a key Water Treatment facility in Southampton.

This long-term position offers excellent stability within the newly launched AMP8 framework. Key Responsibilities

Operational Site Delivery: Lead daily site operations for major civils workstreams, coordinating site engineers, general foremen, direct labor, and specialist sub-contractors.

Programming & Lookaheads: Manage 3-to-6 week lookahead programmes, monitoring progress, managing resource allocation, and proactively resolving operational bottlenecks.

Technical & Design Interface: Oversee technical queries (TQs), RFIs, and temporary works management, ensuring alignment between design teams, site operations, and client standards.

Quality & Assurance: Implement and enforce Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), oversee quality sign-offs, track non-conformances, and maintain comprehensive site records.

Health, Safety & Environment: Review and sign off on RAMS, issue Permits to Work/Dig, manage environmental compliance, and champion a zero-harm site culture.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Proven track record as a Sub Agent or Senior Site Engineer delivering heavy civils or water infrastructure schemes (WTW / WwTW) under UK AMP frameworks.

Technical Knowledge: Strong background in reinforced concrete structures, deep excavations, underground pipework networks, and temporary works on operational water sites.

Qualifications: HND, HNC, or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent practical industry experience).

Mandatory Certifications:

Valid CSCS Card (Black / Gold)

SMSTS

EUSR National Water Hygiene Card

First Aid at Work

Desirable: Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC) and Confined Spaces certification.
