Student Support Worker - Specialist SEN School - Basingstoke

Are you an experienced Student Support Worker looking for a rewarding opportunity in Basingstoke? Or have you recently completed relevant Education and Training and are looking to begin a career supporting children with additional needs?

Academics are working with a specialist school in Basingstoke that supports children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication and interaction needs. They are looking to appoint a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Student Support Worker to join their team.

As a Student Support Worker in Basingstoke, you'll support pupils both in and out of the classroom, helping them develop confidence, independence and positive relationships while encouraging engagement with learning. You'll work closely with teaching staff to provide consistent support and promote a safe, calm and structured learning environment.

We're looking for someone who has experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEN, education, care or youth work. A patient, positive approach and excellent communication skills are essential. Relevant Education and Training, such as Psychology, Childcare, Health & Social Care or Teaching Assistant qualifications, would be beneficial but is not essential.
