Description:

A busy and involved role working with the Student Engagement Team to deliver a range of communications to the existing and new students informing them of changes and revisions of study programmes within the University. The ideal candidate will:

* Have experience working within Higher Education in communications or as a highly skilled HE administrator.

* Experience of working in administration within an educational environment

* Experience of meeting stakeholders' needs and expectations.

* Knowledge and understanding of core academic and administrative functions in higher education.

* Proactive with the ability to work independently as well as delivering within a team.

* Detail oriented and flexible in their approach to work, maintaining a high level of accuracy.

* Comfortable with adapting to change, driving own professional development.

* Ability to convey complex information accurately to a range of audiences, both orally and in written form.

The key tasks of the role will be:

* Delivering a revised set of communications and engagement support for students to select their modules ahead of continuing to the next academic year.

* Maintaining a business as usual readiness in a time of change.

* Planning and delivering programme level tailored communications support to all incoming new students to the college across the summer period.

* Draft and edit written copy to a very high standard for publication.

* Manage and maintain spreadsheets of complex data.

* Supporting assessments results release in the context of disruption to BAU.

* Work as part of team working across a high volume of communications outputs, supervising junior staff, tracking responses and ensuring onward actions are complete.

* Play a leading role within the student comms and engagement team, problem solving issues as they arise and ensuring our communication outputs are fit to address issues as we support all our students to continue and succeed.

Start asap. Candidates must be available for at least 3 months. Hybrid role (2 days at home) or office based if preffered.
