Description:
Our client, a leading defence and security company, is seeking a Principal Engineer - Structural Engineering (Hull & Outfit) to join their team in Barrow. This is a contract position with a duration of 6 months, offering a competitive rate.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake structural design activities related to Hull & Outfit elements
Conduct analysis and assessment of structural components
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design solutions meet project requirements
Provide technical support during the construction and commissioning phases
Contribute to the development of design processes and standards
Job Requirements:
Significant experience in structural design/engineering
Proficiency in relevant software tools and analysis techniques
Understanding of Hull & Outfit design principles
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
