ALink Recruitment are working with a structural and civil engineering consultancy that specialise in design-led projects. Their varied portfolio includes basements, extensions, bespoke new-builds and historic or listed buildings.

The Role

Seeking a Structural Engineer with around 2 years experience. Working alongside senior engineers and technicians, you will support projects from concept through to construction. The role will be office based 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

*

Designing structures in steel, concrete, masonry and timber.

*

Preparing calculations, sketches and technical reports.

*

Coordinating drawings with technicians and other consultants.

*

Undertaking structural surveys and site visits.

*

Attending design meetings and responding to construction queries.

*

Delivering work in accordance with Eurocodes, British Standards and Building Regulations.

About you

You should have:

*

A BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.

*

Around two years’ UK consultancy experience.

*

Experience designing building structures in common materials.

*

Familiarity with software such as TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer or similar.

*

AutoCAD skills; Revit experience would be beneficial.

*

Clear communication and good organisational skills.

*

An ambition to work towards IStructE or ICE chartership
