Structural Engineer
Manchester | Up to £50,000 + Benefits
An established and forward-thinking Civil & Structural Engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join its Manchester team.
The consultancy provides civil and structural engineering services nationwide and works on a varied portfolio ranging from major new-build developments to complex renovation projects across sectors including residential, commercial, leisure, education, industrial, and theme parks.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a Structural Engineer looking to take on a varied workload and develop their experience across different building types and sectors.
Responsibilities will include:
Structural design of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber structures
Producing calculations, specifications and technical design information
Working on projects from initial concept through to detailed design and construction
Coordinating closely with technicians, architects and other engineering disciplines
Attending design meetings and liaising with clients and contractors
Supporting the delivery of projects while developing greater technical and project responsibility
What We’re Looking For
Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
Previous experience within a UK structural engineering consultancy
Good understanding of structural design principles and relevant UK design standards
Experience designing common building materials including steel and reinforced concrete
Confident communicator with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Ambitious engineer looking to continue developing technically and professionally
