Job Title: Interim Strategic Manager - Waste & Fleet
Location: Hampshire, UK
Duration: Interim - Ongoing
Spencer Clarke Group are looking for a Strategic Manager for Waste & Fleet on behalf of a local Authority client in Hampshire, you will play a leading role in leading and managing waste and recycling collection services, fleet management, and depot responsibilities for the council.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage waste and recycling collection services, fleet management, and depot responsibilities.
Serve as the council's lead officer and subject matter expert for waste and fleet-related services.
Be accountable for the performance and delivery of operational goals, ensuring alignment with director and executive director objectives.
Effectively manage day-to-day operations, including financial and people management matters.
Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in waste operations and fleet management.
Utilize extensive knowledge of the waste and transport industry, including national policies and strategies, to inform decision-making.
Qualifications/Experience Needed
Relevant degree or equivalent level of experience
International Freight Transport CPC
Membership of a relevant professional body (ILM/CIWM)
Proven experience in managing municipal waste operations and fleet-related operations.
Solid understanding of waste operations, fleet management, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Extensive knowledge of the waste and transport industry, including national policies and strategies.
