???? Our client, a leading organisation in the aerospace industry, is seeking a motivated and experienced Strategic Buyer to join their Purchasing Team. As a Strategic Buyer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of programmes, while optimising costs and maintaining supplier relationships.

Responsibilities: ????

✅ Supplier Selection and Approval: Implementing the Purchasing Strategy by selecting and approving suppliers who align with our client's requirements.

✅ Timely Product Delivery: Managing the supplier base and ensuring on-time delivery of products within the assigned Commodity Group.

✅ Budget Management: Taking ownership of projects' budgets and actively engaging in cost reduction and Supplier Development Programmes.

✅ Supplier Quality: Collaborating with SQA to improve Supplier On Quality Delivery (OQD) and maintain high-quality standards.

✅ Programme Ready Supply Chain: Ensuring a well-prepared supply chain for repeat purchases, guaranteeing smooth operations.

✅ Coordination and Communication: Effectively liaising with Production Planning, Engineering, and Programme Management to ensure alignment and responsiveness to customer demands.

✅ Supplier Performance Management: Monitoring supplier commitments, including material due dates, and managing the performance of the allocated Supplier Base.

✅ Continuous Improvement: Engaging in Departmental Improvement Projects, driving positive change within the organisation.

Experience/Skills: ????

???? Previous supply chain experience is essential, preferably within a fast-paced procurement environment.

???? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing effortless relationship-building with individuals at all levels.

???? Strong organisational and time management skills, enabling effective multitasking and meeting deadlines.

???? Positive and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to take on various tasks and challenges.

???? Proficiency in MS Office and MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Access, etc.).

Requirements: ✅

✨ 5-8 years of experience in Supply Chain roles, demonstrating expertise in delivering high-quality services.

✨ Exposure to Aviation requirements and standards is preferred, though not essential.

✨ Ability to interpret and implement supply chain strategies and category plans.

✨ CIPS qualification or studying towards it is preferred, but not essential.
