We are currently seeking a reliable and organised Storesperson to join a busy Council depot on a 6-month contract. This role will support the efficient management of stock, materials, tools, and equipment used by operational and maintenance teams.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving, checking, and booking in deliveries.
Picking, issuing, and distributing materials and equipment.
Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels.
Loading and unloading vehicles safely.
Operating a forklift truck to move and store goods.
Carrying out regular stock checks and maintaining a tidy stores environment.
Delivering materials to various council sites as required.
Adhering to all health and safety procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, or depot environment.
Valid Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Good organisational and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience using stock control systems is desirable.
