· Develop efficient picking and packing processes to improve accuracy and turnaround times.

· Establish consistent procedures for receiving, checking, recording and putting away deliveries.

· Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately and materials can be located when needed.

· Organise stock counts, investigate discrepancies and improve stock accuracy.

· Work closely with production to ensure materials and components are available when required.

· Coordinate daily stores activity, setting clear priorities and responsibilities within the team.

· Remain involved in goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch as required.

· Ensure improvements are understood, followed and sustained.

Key Skills & Experience

· Previous responsibility for organising a stores operation or improving warehouse processes.

· Understanding of goods-in, stock locations, picking, packing and dispatch.

· Experience improving stock accuracy, warehouse layout or order fulfilment.

· Confidence directing a small team and setting clear working standards.

· Good IT skills and experience maintaining stock records using warehouse systems, stock software or spreadsheets.

· A practical approach, with the willingness to get involved and take ownership of problems.
