Stores Supervisor

Description:

This position is on a shift rotating system composed of 12 hour shifts working across days, nights and weekends at 42 hours a week.

Overtime and excellent benefits available.

The Stores Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth operation of site warehouse facilities, along with on time delivery of raw material to support the manufacturing facility.

Main Duties:

* Ensure safe working environment for all employees and visitors within relevant areas and that all company policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.

* Manage team attendance via the company absence procedure. Ensure all return to work interviews are completed on the first day. Document all discussions and correspondence in relation to absence

* Manage and record team holidays and overtime within set targets

* Maintain staff training records and ensure all necessary training is up to date.

* Daily housekeeping to ensure high standards are maintained.

* Liaise with all other departments to ensure material is available machine side when planned.

* Ensuring all plant and equipment is fit and safe for use (eg daily forklift checks, vehicle servicing, sling dates etc)

* Use problem solving techniques to resolve issues and implement changes

* Ensure stock accuracy through cycle counting and stock takes.

* Sign off COC’s for customer deliveries.

* Attend necessary customer calls/meetings.

* Final quality gate before despatch to Customer.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Previous experience working in a warehousing environment (essential)

* IT skills – proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (strongly desirable)

* Previous experience using ERP systems (essential)

* Previous experience with hand held devices (desirable)

* Experiencing in management or leadership role (desirable)
