Due to organic growth, this long-established employer is actively searching for a Stores Operator to join their team on a permanent basis.
This Huddersfield based employer is easily commutable from surrounding towns & cities including Bradford, Halifax, Wakefield, Leeds, Oldham, Castleford and Pontefract.
Key Responsibilities of the Stores Operator.
Pick, pack and dispatch customer sales orders accurately and efficiently.
Supply parts from stores to support hose assembly production.
Prepare and pack export shipments for global distributors and self-assembly customers.
Issue stock and materials to internal departments in line with production requirements.
Carry out regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory records.
Operate VNA and Counterbalance Forklift Trucks safely, while maintaining a clean, safe and organised stores environment.I would be keen to speak to individuals who possess.
Previous warehouse or stores experience, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong stock control and goods-in experience with good attention to detail.
Good computer literacy and the ability to work with stock management systems.
Valid Counterbalance and/or VNA forklift truck licences, with practical operating experience.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Working Hours of the Stores Operator.
37.5 Hours per week rotating over AM & PM shifts:
AM Shift - Monday to Thursday 6AM to 2PM / Friday 6AM to 11:30AM
PM Shift - Monday to Thursday 2PM to 10PM / Friday 11:30AM to 5PM
In Return, the Stores Operator will receive:
Basic Salary: Up to £28,850.25 per annum (inclusive of shift allowance)
Enhanced Pension Scheme: Up to 14% combined contributions
