As a Stores Operative, you will play a vital role in the operational activities of the logistics department. You will be responsible for completing approved logistics processing tasks on schedule, including goods receipt, warehouse management, transport coordination, and dispatch operations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Accepting incoming goods and comparing them with shipping documents, ensuring accuracy in material numbers, descriptions, and quantities.
Checking incoming goods for any visible damage, documenting and reporting as necessary.
Ensuring the correct use and maintenance of transport equipment, such as hand-guided industrial trucks and forklifts.
Capturing relevant data in data processing systems to maintain accurate records.
Organising the acceptance, storage, commissioning, and removal of goods in the storage area, and updating corresponding systems accordingly.
Conducting regular stock maintenance and inventory checks in the storage area.
Assembling deliveries from designated storage compartments and reviewing them for completeness and accuracy.
Packaging deliveries according to shipping instructions, adhering to common despatch methods, packaging types, and any applicable instructions regarding dangerous goods.
Ensuring all relevant shipping documents are included with outgoing goods.
Completing internal and external transports using appropriate means of transportation.To excel in this role, you will need to have a keen eye for detail and exceptional organisational skills.
