Stores Inspector
Location: Belfast International Airport, Northern Ireland, BT29 4AB
Salary: £31,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
About the Role
We are seeking a practical, organised and detail-focused Stores Inspector to support the safe, accurate and efficient operation of a busy stores function.
Reporting to the Logistics & Stores Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring parts, tooling, consumables and customer-owned stock are correctly inspected, controlled, stored and issued to meet operational requirements.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous stores experience within an aerospace or other regulated environment and be confident working with inventory systems, inspections, stock control and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, locate and issue parts using an inventory management system.

Carry out goods-inwards inspections and verify deliveries against documentation and order requirements.

Maintain accurate stock records, inventory transactions and part labelling.
*
Control company tooling and maintain associated tooling databases.
*
Manage customer-owned stock, consumables, COSHH cupboards and aircraft ground support items.
*
Monitor shelf-life-controlled items and complete stocktakes as required.
*
Maintain secure, clean, safe and well-organised storage areas.
*
Prepare dispatch documentation and ensure goods, including dangerous goods, are correctly packaged and labelled.
*
Complete import and export requirements in accordance with current HMRC legislation and company procedures.
*
Support stores activities through forklift operations where required.
*
Work in accordance with safety standards, risk assessments and safe systems of work.
*
Attend training at Bournemouth when required and undertake other reasonable duties within the scope of the role.
About You
The ideal candidate will be an organised and dependable stores professional with strong attention to detail and experience working within a regulated environment.
You will have:

Previous storekeeping or warehouse experience, ideally within an aerospace environment.
*
Experience carrying out goods-inwards inspections, preferably within the aerospace industry.
*
CAA Part 145 experience.
*
Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills.
*
A full UK driving licence.
*
Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
*
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
*
Good communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting operational requirements.
