Stores Controller
Location: Outskirts of Salisbury
Salary: £29,400 + Christmas bonus
Hours: Monday-Friday (early finish on Fridays)
Take Control of a Critical Operation
We are seeking a hands-on, organised, and proactive Stores Controller to join a growing manufacturing business on the outskirts of Salisbury. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being at the centre of operations-ensuring materials flow efficiently, teams are supported, and processes run smoothly.
The Role
As Stores Controller, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the stores function, maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all activities:
Oversee the receipt, inspection, and storage of materials and components
Maintain accurate stock control using ERP systems
Work closely with Production and Purchasing to ensure stock availability
Supervise and support packing and despatch operatives
Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, and ISO 9001 compliance
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure safe operation of equipment, including forklifts where applicable
What We're Looking For
Experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory control role (manufacturing environment preferred)
Strong understanding of stock control systems and processes
Ability to lead, train, and support team members effectively
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
A proactive and flexible approach to work
Good understanding of health and safety practices
Forklift licence (desirable but not essential)

Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate
