Reliable Contractors are recruiting for an experienced Storeman to join the Devonport project.
Long-term work is available for the right candidate with the correct cards, tickets and experience, offering stable employment and regular income for the foreseeable future.
Assignment Details

Paid Holidays: 31 days per year (including bank holidays)

Start Date: As soon as possible following successful vetting checks, medical and on-site induction

Security Clearance Requirements
Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks.
Eligibility criteria: Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years.

Lodge/digs allowance of £53.69 per day worked, subject to eligibility and supporting evidence. Eligibility generally requires living more than 50 miles from site, with proof of home address and accommodation arrangements.
Must Have

Valid Green CSCS Labourer Card.
*
Previous experience working in a stores or warehouse environment, preferably within construction.
*
Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
*
Ability to receive, check and organise deliveries.
*
Ability to maintain accurate records of materials and stock.
*
Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
*
Reliable and proactive attitude towards work.
*
Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
Role and Responsibilities
*
Receive and check deliveries against orders and delivery notes.
*
Store materials, tools and equipment safely and in the correct locations.
*
Issue materials and equipment to site operatives as required.
*
Maintain accurate stock records and report shortages or damaged items.
*
Keep the stores area organised, clean and secure.
*
Monitor stock levels and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
*
Follow site procedures and health and safety requirements.
Shifts
Working days: Monday to Friday.
Start time: 7:00am–7:30am.
Finish time: 5:00pm–5:30pm.
Overtime
Monday to Friday: Time and a third after 10 hours.
Nights: Time and a third.
Saturdays and Sundays: Time and a half.
All night hours: Time and a half.
Health and Safety Risks
The successful candidate will be expected to promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring site rules, procedures and relevant health and safety requirements are followed.

Manual handling: Use safe lifting techniques and suitable handling equipment.

Moving plant and vehicles: Follow site traffic management procedures and maintain safe segregation.

Storage of materials: Stack and secure materials safely to prevent falling objects.
*
Slips, trips and falls: Keep stores areas and access routes tidy and unobstructed.
*
Deliveries and loading: Follow site procedures and maintain safe working distances from vehicles and equipment.
All site-specific risks and control measures must be confirmed through the project RAMS, risk assessments and site induction.
